Time to polish your katas with focus, power and confidence. This year’s Spring Kata Tournament falls on Saturday, March 15th, and registration is open!
Competition will be by age and rank, in five major categories: Traditional Kata (the katas practiced in the Cuong Nhu curriculum); Open Kata (creative kata – which may be original kata created by the competitor, or traditional kata modified, performed to music, or enhanced in other ways a student might dream up); Team Kata (two competitors performing together); Parent/Child Team Kata (especially for dojo families); and Weapons. The Weapons category, normally open only to green belts and above, is this year open to kids purple belt and up, to include those children who have done weapons training at Summer Camp in the past.

New this year: Online Registration and Payment
We’ve decided to try online registration this year, with payment via Paypal. If you find it convenient, please click the link below, which will take you to an online registration form. Submit your information, and when we receive it, we’ll send an invoice by email for the amount due. You will then be able to pay with a credit card or your Paypal account. You need not be a Paypal member to use this service.
