Now, coming to a Dojo near you, the latest installment in this series:
SPAR WARS EPISODE 2016!!!
A friendly fall Tournament Sparring Competition at the most honorable Rohai Dojo was scheduled for Saturday, December 3rd.
There was to be the following categories:
~Traditional Point Sparring – open to kids & adults Green Belt & above
~Team Sparring: 3 person teams (form your own team in advance, or recruit a team on the day of the event)
~Padded Sword Sparring*: open to kids & adults. Kids under age 10 must be Purple Belt or higher rank.
*Padded swords and helmets provided
The following stipulations:
~Double elimination: everyone gets at least two rounds of action.
~Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th places only.
~Divisions will be based on age, weight and rank.
The following facts:
~Competition begins promptly at 12 NOON, right after kata class
~Register by November 26th: $15 for one event; $5 each additional
~Late Registration Fee after Nov. 26th is $5
