URGENT UPDATE: WE HAVE CHANGED VENUE! The 2018 WCTC will be at Encinal High School Gym, 210 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA. This is at the opposite end of Central Avenue from our usual venue, Alameda High School. Please allow some extra travel time from the Oakland airport area. (On the plus side, if you’re coming from Berkeley, it is a little closer.)
Directions: From the freeway, take the Webster Street Tube. Drive up Webster to the end, turn right, and watch for the school on your left, about 3/4 mile down. There’s a navy jet on a pedestal in front of the school.
From the Oakland Airport area, take Doolittle Drive toward Alameda; bear right to cross the bridge into Alameda, and left on Otis after crossing the bridge; follow Otis to the end; turn right on Westline and left on Central. Follow Central till you see the navy jet in front of the school.
Park and walk back between the buildings toward the swimming pool, then look to your right – you’ll be able to see the gym building from there.
If you’re hauling equipment for the event, please coordinate with Master Burns. There will be a limited opportunity to drive equipment in a back gate to the rear of the gym.
