We’ve scheduled two martial arts summer camps this year – one for all ranks and ages (6 & up), and one especially for teens – with the possibility of a third if there’s sufficient interest. As always, we’ll be offering a week-long experience of in-depth training, camaraderie, fun and challenge. Camp meets from 9am to 4pm, with the possibility to stay for the regular 4pm class.
Does it sound like a long day? The time passes quickly. Activities are a mix of rank-level skill building, special topics such as weapons training and matwork, lunch in the park, games and outdoor time, a visit to the pool midweek, martial arts philosophy and Zen stories, and a special “arts and crafts” project (past projects have ranged from designing and painting a t-shirt, to building a martial arts weapon to train with for the week). Teens attending the all-ranks, all-ages camp will have opportunities for leadership training and separate activities. Advanced/Teen camp is open to teens all ranks, and pre-teen students who have reached at least blue belt or green stripe rank.
Click here to learn more, and to register for one (or both!) of the sessions:
Session 1: June 13-17, 2022: All Ranks, All Ages (6 through Teens)
Session 2: July 18-22, 2022: Advanced/Teen Camp
Do you want a camp on a different week? Send an email to Christie with the subject line “I want another camp!” If you can gather a group of friends wanting an extra week of camp, we’ll try to schedule it. We have a 10-student minimum per session.
Rohai Dojo’s Summer Camps are open to all Cuong Nhu students (from any dojo), as well as friends and family, including beginners. Pass the word – and see you there!
